Too late

There were lovely blue skies this afternoon and it was even marginally warmer. But this morning when the moon's path took it in front of the sun, there was a thick layer of cloud and we were denied a view of the remarkable eclipse. This far south it didn't get dark during the eclipse but it was quite gloomy for a while. We have had to be content with the amazing pictures on TV.
