Let's Get Ready to Rumble!

If you loved your boxing in the 80s, you were spoilt with some of the legendary battles that took place, particularly those concerning Sugar Ray Leonard, Robert ‘Hands of Stone’ Duran, Thomas the Hitman Hearns and Marvellous Marvin Hagler.  You didn’t need any hype or promotion to sell tickets to these fights, the names themselves ensured it was a sell-out.

So it was an honour and privilege to meet the legend that is Sugar Ray Leonard tonight in Cwmbran.  His stories of some of those fights were brilliant, especially the one concerning Marvin Hagler.  He’s trying to get all 4 guys to join up and come across to the UK in the future, but so far Marvin hasn’t responded to his phone calls. 

A trip to Birmingham for a Health and Safety Conference today, always interesting to see what other people are doing in the construction industry.
