Eclipse

Remarkably clear skies, just perfect for the eclipse down at Leith Links.
I was hoping for a bit of cloud, as I didn't really have the right equipment.

I decided to combine two photos, here. When I had on the ND8 filter and f22 and 1/640s it was the black sky and still the wee image of the sun was almost lost in the glare. The background is f16, 1/125s and various filters. I should really try to remember to research what settings are required, before I go out!
I was actually mostly just trying to experience the whole thing. It got dim and chillier; the birds went quiet and several dogs started barking in a confused way.
Magical, really, and I very much doubt I'll be around here for the next one...it was a very special thing to see.
