#TADHAwards (Ice cream and heroism)

A fabulous night at the inaugural Annie Dow Heroism Awards for young people - known as #TADHA (and yes, you do need to sing that and wave your arms around when you do!).

The awards were set up to recognise acts of courage and heroism from young people with additional support needs - and inspired by Annie who saved her family when their house caught fire.

So uplifting and inspiring - here is Abi, the first ever winner, a young carer who saved the lives of both her mother and brother within the space of a few days. She is being presented with her Award by Annie herself (right) who designed the trophy - made up of reclaimed parts from her home destroyed by the blaze.

Human beings are pretty amazing huh? Wow. Just wow. It was such an honour to be part of the judging panel.

Plus we got ice cream - with marshmallows AND chocolate flakes... :)))
