Soul Brother

Doing some teaching with an international group of health care professionals and I meet up with Dhana.

So here's the thing, in the UK there are about 11,600 psychiatrists - give or take the odd couple of hundred.

In Nepal with half the population of the UK there are 75.

Dana here is one of the 75 Nepalese psychiatrists working there, he's a proper serious clinician, with a workload that makes the sherpas look lightweights but he emits a smile quotient of at least 100 average doctors.

So he sits learning in my session and I sit in and learn in his - and I learn the most and afterwards we laugh a lot with each other and find that despite the differences we are also in many ways the same.
