the artist

a big day at The Park today. The sun shone and like bees we busied ourselves with presenting the Park at it's best, flying from one task to the next. The planning committee conducted their site visit, looking at the proposed development area and viewed the park as a whole for context. Then later in the day we unveiled and celebrated the completed wild flower mural. Joined by the local school children who chose species included in the mural, South Lakes poet Laureate Maggie Norton who recited some of her wild flower poetry and the artist himself Paul Wilmott. It was a lovely, warm and bright occasion, much enjoyed by all.
