My Dartmoor walk x2 !

Today I had my first blipmeet! Aptly it was with the first blipper to follow my journal and the first blipper I followed! It was with mydartmoorwalks!  A nicer man you couldn't wish to meet and Oh!  Does he know how to take a girl on a good walk! Both he and the walk were captivating and he had to keep reminding me I could take photographs! The opportunity to talk with a fellow blipper was intoxicating! But what was said on Dartmoor stays on Dartmoor!!!
However I can share the walk with you here ! Mydartmoor walks had arranged for blue skies with a slight haze from the smog afflicting Cornwall today (  Swillin' Billy reported today on 365 Project  that it was noxious down in Mevagissey!!! ) He had also placed Dartmoor ponies at strategic spots along the route! One particularly beautiful one with  a crimped mane  ( the talents of the man are endless!) was eating grass from the soggy ground and had a delightfully stained green muzzle!! One of the tors was so pristine in appearance it looked like a film set! So many highlights but perhaps the best and my blip today was the megalithic Down Tor Cairn Circle and Stone Row.A five-foot terminal stone lies at one end of the 157 stone row, with a  9-foot terminal stone at the other end, just outside the 25 stone circle.  The  row increases in height as they approach the 9-foot pillar. They were simply stunning and more so as he had not previously told me we would be seeing some and I had no idea of their existence!

After the walk we headed to the pub and he showed me a nifty app on his phone which had mapped our walk! Nearly 3 hours - 1 hour 9 minutes of which we had walked!!! The rest of the time we had stood and talked and taken photographs!

My friend was a little concerned I was heading off for a walk on Dartmoor with a man I had never met before! I was supposed to text her to say he was fine and not to worry but forgot!! mydartmoorwalks announced to my delight that I was not as mad as he had expected me to be (?!!! ), so I'm hoping he does not now unfollow me!  Our next blipmeet will be led by me in Calstock! I told him he had more to fear in a walk in the woods with me in Calstock than I had to fear a walk on Dartmoor with him!!
I hope you like the photographs mydartmoorwalks - here's to the next blipmeet!!
