Horizon.

Another sticky, warm day today. The kind of heat you can smell when you step outside in the morning. I slept late today; the sun must have tired me out yesterday. When we eventually got up, A and I pottered out to the garden and enjoyed the sun, I was even just down to my bikini and I was still too hot!

Just a nice chilled out afternoon, finishing off my book and laughing at Fin's face as he was given avocado for the first time! He's like a little bird stretching forward with his mouth open for food, so sweet. A and I had some ice cream for our lunch, and then later on I walked back to Banchory and caught a (very hot) bus back to Aberdeen. Luckily I woke up just before my stop!

I met R at her flat (just a few doors down from me) and she drove us to the beach for a repeat performance of our Friday BBQ. The dolphins were still jumping and the children were still swimming in the sea, as if the scene had been frozen in time since we left. This cruise boat (flying a Norwegian flag) was leaving the harbour in a puff of smoke in the last of the warmth.

We had a lovely dinner (minus the cremated corn this time) and then R dropped me home. I'm tired, sandy and a little pink around the edges. Must have been a good weekend!

Edit: Good news! Bella the bunny has turned up in A's neighbour's garden, and she's absolutely fine. She'd been gone 3 full days, but she was ready to put up a fight about being caught!
