High flyer

I'm standing at Gatwick Airport waiting for a flight home to Edinburgh. I've been in meetings in our London office all day at Albert Embankment.

This was the view as I boarded the flight at 6am this morning to go down. I was boarding at the back of the plane and Gemma, my colleague at the front. You can just see her in the cream coat, 4th person back from the bottom of the steps.

It was a lovely sky to see us on our journey. I hope that we have a tailwind on the way home though so I can get back quicker. A 4.20am start and a 15 hour day (including travel) is never a fun idea - I might see if I can squeeze in a snooze on the flight home.
