Early morning

After an overnight frost, the sunrise on the merse was rosy and beautiful. The reed beds were full of Marsh Tits and Reed Buntings. Criffel appeared  hazy and blue. Further out on the marsh, larks and meadow pipits lifted and sang.Huge gatherings of Barnacle Geese were feeding together.
