Blip Heaven

It has been absolutely wonderful to spend time with Paladian and Rower2012 over the past three days.  I'm going to feel really sad when I have to say goodbye to them tomorrow.  However I am happy in the knowledge that we will be able to catch up with them again later in the year when we head across Australia to see my family in Western Australia.  

This evening at dusk the two beautiful Black Cockatoos dropped in to say hello at Wombat Hollow just as we were sitting down to have dinner with Mr and Mrs Hobbs and Paladian and Rower.   I couldn't believe that Rower raced out and started firing away with his beautiful 300mm lens.  I just thought it was far too dark to capture anything.  Well I raced in side and thought, I'm going to learn something here.  So with Rower's guidance on the camera settings I started firing away too.  

I am so thrilled to know that in future I can capture images of the birds that come by at dusk.  Thanks Rower, just another wonderful learning from two passionate blippers.  

Oh, have to tell you, a whole family of Gang Gangs called by at "Happy Hour" tonight.  They were just glorious and so pleased our South Australian friends could witness the event.
