It's maple syrup time!

Even if it is difficult to reach some most of the hard maple trees, this one, only on the next street away from me, was easy.The local maple sugaring guys are setting up the 55 gallon drums and the plastic hoses in the Village and further out in the county to collect the clear sap. We have had two or three days above 32ºF (not today) and that gets the sap running up to the tops of the tree branches.
I think maple sap collection will be late this year, but we will have maple syrup for our pancakes.
