The budget

I understand that in today's budget we were told that the UK has turned an economic corner and we are all better off than we were 5 years ago.
In Aberdeen last year there were around 14,000 collections from our food banks - with around 9000 folk using them regularly. I regularly see folk who have their benefit slashed as someone with a clipboard tells them they are fit for work .... . Many folk may have a better standard of living but if you are unemployed and on benefits ( perhaps with an ongoing medical issue ) - life has never been so tough .
