inspired by May blossom

I love the pink tinge to this one. Just two days ago, I noticed there were still some tight little spherical buds but this morning, all the hawthorn trees along the canal walk were in full bloom. At ten o'clock I stopped to take a photo. On my way home I thought I would improve my shot but three hours intense sunshine had hastened their demise and the petals were turning brown and dropping like confetti.

There's no holding back Nature. Just enjoy the moment!
