Where's the path gone?

Todays task of clearing the rhododendrons, laurel and holly in Greggs Wood was highjacked by the serious landscape contractors. They have been brought in to get rid of the monster rhodies . However their machine has made the paths into 4 foot deep tracks of silt. One of their machines has got stuck and another has been brought in to dig the first one out. This is the second one making a track through the trees to get to the stuck machine.
2 of our volunteers stepped onto the path by mistake and went into clay/slit over their knees. Seriously yuck.  I picked up litter left by the fishermen - 5 sacks fulls of  beer cans, bottles, crisp packets and bait containers.  If they can manage to carry full ones onto the site why can't they bother to take their empties home, they are much lighter empty,.
