Today is Canakkale Day in Turkey 2014  2013 - Gallipoli 1915 Remembrance  

Tonight I am unexpectedly (a colleague-friend asked me yesterday) going to the Zorlu Centre in Istanbul to see Hugh Jackman - dubious but curious, 

but

well, got to get my priorities right for today's journal...

Like most folk, I prefer to be the other side of the lens, but, as has been said here, there and everywhere on this site today, in various ways, 'it's for a good cause' and Blippers Unite - with a grey background....

EVENING UPDATE:  HUGH JACKMAN CANCELLED!  I guess he heard I had already blipped for the day.  Lots and hundreds of very disgruntled people - we weren't told until five minutes before the show was supposed to begin. Apparently he isn't well.  

Lovely sunshine today - still cold though - even a very brief flurry of tiny dancing, floating snow flakes this morning... wow.

20th March reflection: one of our blippers, Karen, assembled this collage of almost a thousand images (986 of us with outstretched arms) and then turned them into this video all based on the idea of sahfotoblip 's call to arms on 17th and I just want to record for posterity, this remarkable statement of solidarity and affection for what 'blipfoto' has come to mean for so many folk world wide. Extraordinary.
