Notable tree no. 15

Another day of computer performance issues at work. That meant another late day.

I'd never really noticed this 158 year old Australian blue gum in Riccarton bush. I waa already late so stopped to inspect and admire it.

Quite high up is a plaque. "Notable tree number 15, 1857, Australian blue gum".

Does this mean it's the 15th tree noted? Or the 15th tree planted in Christchurch afyer European settlement?

I'm intrigued it is an Australian blue gum rather than a European tree. Did the Deans family come here via Australia?

Anyway, it's rather lovely and stately.

My laptop is stuck at work weathering the network issues. Means I'm stuck with my phone again tonight.

As things ground to a halt at work I moved to some web based training. At least the internet hasn't fallen over.

That was today's bonus. All part of my plan and oh so helpful for my website project.

It's frustrating I can't do much on it at present. But hugely exciting too. I'm close to inflicting releasing it to the world but still a bit to do yet.

I should do some reading but a certain fur child vomited just after midnight. I'll give it a go but I'm in yawn mode.
