Too hard to resist

... even though we were sitting no more than a couple of metres away enjoying our evening glass of wine. The wine was a welcome reward for painting and stripping wallpaper. It's been so hot today that I wasn't sorry to be inside and away from the sun. Even from inside the deep blue of the sky and the amazing light has been enough to lift my mood. Maybe we'll only get one more day of it this week but we can always hope!

Flowers yesterday, garden birds today. Apparently sparrows are becoming rarer in the UK. We have plenty of house sparrows but I haven't seen a tree sparrow for a long time.
