Sunrise Waikuku Beach

Great trip with flying today out to the Ashley Estuary/Waikuku Beach for sunrise. We weren't even sure we would go, as the forecast was for rain and there were heavy clouds in the eastern sky, but it turned out that apart from very cold wind the weather was fine.  We walked along the beach and then along the estuary. Lots of birds, but I'm trying to do something that's not easy for me - using a wide angle lens! This probably isn't really wide angle as it's 70mm, but I liked the light and the simplicity, which is another thing I've had to learn to try and do.

And hopefully the foam is enough for foreground interest? Or is it the light?
