Long-leave willow Primrose

Found this beautiful yellow flowering plant the waterways this morning.
Unfortunately, it is declared an invasive weed plant.

Native to southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and northern Argentina.
Introduced to the country as an ornamental aquatic plant but escaped into the waterways and wetlands. According to the "Weeds of Australia, Biosecurity Queensland" website, this plant's habitat grows well in Central and Northern NSW and most of coastal Queensland.

BTW, Happy St Patrick's day to all our friends of Irish heritage.
