excursion to the Abbey Library
The Abbey Library is the library of the former Benedictine monastery of St. Gall. In 612, the Irish Monk Gallus erected his Hermitage on this site. The St. Gall Abbey precinct became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. That was a nice start to the day.
