At Last

I travelled to Bayreuth in Germany today for work and what should have been a quite short trip turned into a bit of an epic.

We boarded on time and as we pushed back there was a problem starting one of the engines as a valve had stuck open. By the time this was sorted out we left Heathrow around 2 hours late. This meant I missed my connecting flight in Frankfurt and I was rebooked on a flight leaving at 21:15. This got into Nuremburg at around 22:00 leaving me with an hour's drive to Bayreuth after collecting luggage and picking up the hire car.

Definitely time for bed.
