Goodbye Old Friends

I love to read. Usually my choices are quirky and a rule of thumb is if I shelve it a lot, (or if it's an "Oprah book!), I probably won't be reading it.

This one was recommended to me, (thanks Elizabeth!), and  I thought, nah, not for me, it has a silly title, and it's a book club type pick..... 

In the end I crumbled and borrowed "The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society", and absolutely loved it. It was a book of weird and wonderful characters, with the most wonderful senses of humour.

Tonight I finished it and feel like I have said goodbye to old friends. I will miss them.
