Roman Ruin

(This is rather confusing... I've posted for what I thought was this day, but even after swapping the photo for one before midnight, still not accepting, so will copy some from what I wrote before, and rewrite tomorrow... and all this for nothing if Blip goes into outer darkness...)

Spent the morning on a tour of megalithic sites by a very well informed and passionate archaeologist, then had lunch and wrote postcards in front of this ruin of a Roman temple, in the middle of Évora - only preserved because it was used as a slaughter house until fairly recently.

Were then taken to Mora, in the Alentejo, by a Brazilian couple living in Évora - who would not accept a penny for an 80km round trip. And then, before dinner at the home of a Portuguese family, were taken to the magnificent hotel - of which you can see our rooms in the next blip... which I blipped two days before this one!
