Tulip Impressions...

After some fiddle-faddling this afternoon with a glass plate, glycerine drops, extension tube and a macro lens I present a rather mediocre tulips and reflections image. The variables are just so many. how high to have the plate and drops above the flower ? What macro lens extension tube combination works best ? How close to place the drops ? How high to have the camera above the drops ? No doubt I shall return to this technique when I have another burst of creative energy (or less creative in this instance).
