but whose counting?

despite the fact that it's taken more than two years in 'real' time, whatever that is) it's finally my (730th) blip anniversary! this milestone feels especially bittersweet as many of us have lost confidence in the stability of this site. today I am also pondering the use of the verb 'to count'
(let me count the ways...) and how that word sneaks in to our language -- i.e. making it count, count me in, stand up and be counted, etc.
A big heartfelt thank you to everyone here -- this community has meant a great deal to me -- each and every one of you really counts.
