A Night at The Recs

Saturday's match between Alloa Athletic and Falkirk had a 5.30pm kick-off due to the match being shown on BBC Alba - BBC Scotland's Gaelic TV channel. As it happens, that time suited me better than a regular 3.00pm start and so I made my way across the Clackmannanshire Bridge to the Indodrill Stadium (aka Recreation Park, or The Recs as it is better known) for our local derby match.

Falkirk's 3-1 win flattered the away team as Alloa certainly had the bulk of the possession and created not a few good chances. For long periods of the game it looked as if a draw would be the likely outcome, but the Bairns scored two late goals to keep in the hunt for a play-off place.

Next up: Hearts at home. We're the only team to beat them in the league this season, so hoping for a similar result when they visit Westfield next weekend.
