I remember reading the first two novels back in the 90s. I was off work and very ill. Reading the books combined with my illness resulted in very vivid dreams, almost blurring reality and fiction.

I never got around to meeting Terry Pratchett. On the two separate occasions where I took time off work because he was to be signing books. On both occasions, he had to pull out because the weather conditions meant he couldn't reach Edinburgh.
