The brightest of the bunch
Once we got over the border it was more spring like. That pull up to Carter Bar is always gloomy. We walked 'round the hill'. The air was still, and the ground fairly dry. One buzzard overhead. I love those birds, but was shocked to hear that they are responsible for a reduction in the numbers of other raptors. Shame - they hang in the sky so elegantly. Speaking of which, has anyone else read 'H for Hawk'?
These Cheviots are from Steven's flock, and they're going to be shown later in the year. They were hanging around in the stable next to Bob, because they've had a light cut to encourage wool growth. I really liked the one on the left, but we have no room in the garden, and I'm no Woody Allen.
