Birds of a Feather

I was awake fairly early today and after a coffee and a couple sausage sandwiches I went to catch a bus to Stockbridge but was intercepted in my hall by some idiots handing out information leaflets for my local Labour candidate. When I reached the Shore I saw my bus pulling away from the bus stop. The next bus wasn't for another 30 minutes. I wandered along the Shore and was taking a few pictures when suddenly a whole flock of seagulls appeared and were going mental. I realised a guy was throwing rolls into the river and the seagulls were squabbling over them.   Which is when I took this picture, I've cropped it a bit.

I had planned on getting something a bit different from the market today, I was thinking some pheasant or something similar instead of my usual venison. I was swithering between getting a pheasant pie or a venison cottage pie when the lady suggested a game casserole, which contains pheasant, rabbit and venison (as well as the usual vege that goes in a a casserole). I also picked up some chicken liver pâté and a little pork pie.

After the market I popped down to The Stockbridge Tap for my usual post market pint (or two), the Tap has just won the CAMRA Edinburgh pub of the year again.
