A Snipet of Life....

....at the Lagoon.
We went out for breakfast after church, which is our usual Sunday morning routine, & then drove home through Grant Park, & what a commotion going on at the lagoon! It's obviously time for the ducks & geese to start thinking about laying some eggs, so many of them had claimed spots on the little island out in the middle of the water already. Many of the birds, ducks, and geese appear to have paired off. However, there were a few geese here & there who were trying to horn in on another's territory, & were promptly told off. Apparently the warning wasn't stern
  enough & a fight erupted! It probably wouldn't have ended as quickly as it did had the mom & little girl not started throwing bread around for all the birds, which had the same effect as ringing a dinner bell! As always, there's one who has to hog all the food for itself & obviously doesn't like to share! When the bread was gone, they all went back into the water, & it started all over again!  It kept us happily entertained for quite awhile! :)
