Early tulip

A splash of brightness in a dull and grey garden.  It's so chilly, I don't blame the plants for staying wrapped up.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you.

I'm not a mother - but I believe in family so strongly.  I've had a lovely day. My sister and her family, and one of my brothers came over for lunch and it was just so nice to spend time with them.  I know my Mum was watching - I know she would be pleased.  She, too, believed in family, at a time when she was working part time (one afternoon free !) and being a marvellous Mum to four, quite challenging, offspring.
