Visiting Sheffield

Well, here we are, down in Sheffield with The Little Tykes! Emily came up with Rachel for the funeral but we haven't seen Daniel since Christmas. He'd just turned 3 then and we are amazed at how his language and conversation has come on since then. This purple ball seems to be one of his favourite toys but I can see ball games will soon get too energetic for indoor play. 

We have had this weekend planned for a while but last week the building work at their home was moved forward a week, consequently there wasn't a bedroom for us. R & S quickly decided to book us into the nearby, Double Tree Hilton. An undisturbed night's sleep and a lie in! Who say's Friday, 13th is unlucky? What a Mother's Day treat! Thank you.

Child-minding will recommence at a sane hour tomorrow,  possibly with a visit to the hotel pool.
