Avian Spring Fevor

I visited the wild life refuge yesterday; it was the first
time since early winter.  What I saw was a delight.
There is no doubt, waterfowl are in the midst of spring
antics!  Most duck species had already paired off and
were at rest "in couples."  Love was in the air!!!!  Some
of the ice on the pond edge had melted and there were
many Canada geese taking baths!  I caught this goose
mid-bathing.....I think it was cleansing the winter "blahs"
away.
