For Hootie

The last few days have been hectic and the weather not so great.  I went out for a few minutes looking for something to photograph on my way to work, but was not inspired by anything.
My daughter asked me if I wanted to go to a painting party with her. 
I chose to paint this whimsical owl for my project.  He reminded me of "Hootie", the  barred owl I had been photographing for a few weeks. I have not seen Hootie since my last photograph of him on Valentine's Day.  
I heard a barred owl was found dead after hitting a window in a house that was nearby.
I'm hoping that is was not Hootie  and that he just flew deeper into the woods to build a nest!
