Northern Ireland
Today we drove from Belfast up the coast stopping off at various points. We went around Islandmagee and stopped at Portmuck - we were amazed to see a beautiful little bay! Further around the coast we went to Carrick-a-rede - an amazing rope bridge from the land to Carrick-a-rede island. It has a 30 metre drop and is 22 metres long and has been there for 250 years, put there by the salmon fishermen . Stunning place.
Next we drove to the Giants Causeway - a world heritage site- woth 40,000 basalt stone columns left by volcanic eruptions over 60 million years ago. To be able to walk on these columns was just incredible. It's a place we have always wanted to go and we were thrilled to see it.
