Well, it was either this or a shot of my coffee this morning. It poured rain most of the day, so I snapped this quickly this evening as I walked back from buying some SD cards for my upcoming trip. I have tried numerous times to get a decent shot of Grand Central, both inside and outside, but haven't been very successful. It looked rather nice lit up tonight and since I really don't have anything else, this will have to do.

I did not risk my life to stand in the middle of the road to get this, although it looks that way. There is actually a tiny island in the middle of multiple roads and so that's where I went for this shot.

There are some terrible rumors right now that blipfoto is taking its last breath. Lots of concern has been expressed about the silence of Blipcentral and the blip staff since the beginning of the month. If you go over to the forums you will be able to read about all the concerns.

This is such an incredible site I am quite upset by the thought that it may end and I will lose touch with many of you. My email address is in my bio, but I am going to include it here also just in case they go belly-up without any warning. So please take note of it. In case the worst happens, please send me an email, so we can stay in touch. Should it be over, it is hard to believe there there won't be something else that might replace it, either already in existence or something new. If we stay connected by email, then we can stay informed. For those of you on Facebook, there is a Blipfoto Friends group with lots of folks joining. That will also be another way to stay informed. I see that some folks are going over to 500px and 365project.com. I guess I will check them out, but how will we every find each other? It's all rather depressing. My blip friends are such an enjoyable part of my day. We definitely need a backup plan!
