South Downs

Despite having walking 10km on Sunday and ridden x miles on Monday we decided to go for a walk on the Downs today.  It was a lovely day and we sat outside at the Shepherd & Dog to eat fresh plaice for lunch.  The ground has dried up in most places but it was still muddy through the woodland.  This bull was lying down when we first saw him but he staggered to his feet as we walked past.  I couldn't help thinking we haven't done them any favours by our breeding programmes.
