last of the streakers
MV Saturn the Cal-Mac Rothesay ferry for thirty + years in James Watt Dock being repainted in the red hull colours of Pentland Ferries of Orkney. She and her sisters Jupiter and Juno were affectionately known as "streakers", especially due to their great manoeuvrability and fast turnaround with Voith-Schneider propelling units fore and aft. A group of enthusiasts wanted Saturn to stay on the Clyde but at least she has been saved from the scrapyard unlike her sisters scrapped at Roseneath 2011
