View from our room

In Wellington.

Quite a long drive from Napier to Wellington as we knew it would be as we are doing the return journey in only two sections.

After parking in town we had a wander up Cuba Street then down to the water front where there was long boat racing going on as well as an Asian festival involving food and dance.

Reached the hotel after finding our way round the one way system. Quite odd after a week where most places only gave one main road.

Visited the bar for my first drink in NZ had a gun and tonic and a small Caesar salad while Geoff had a pizza which had a curry on it including the chutney!

Flying back to christchurch in the morning.
