Looking Down The Valley
The latest unit in my DVD photography course is all about landscapes, something I don't do well, and therefore tend to avoid.
Blipmate and I set out this morning to practice. It is so hard to get all components lined up - the light, the story, the foreground, leading lines, layers and so on. While it is easy to find a pretty scene, it is harder to find something interesting in that scene to make the landscape come alive.
This is an improvement, but it was a grey morning and a little bit late and the light looked dull. Sunrise or sunset would make a big difference.
Still, it was a great outing and we drove on, up unfamiliar back roads like intrepid explorers, noting places for future blips.
