Dog Tired!

As we all are this evening.
Off to the DIY stores this morning to find paint etc for the kitchen plus a few associated bits and pieces. Home for lunch and a quick check on progress. (The fitting out stage - all the handles and stuff.) Then MaggieD and I attacked Andrew's room and stripped out the old laminate, heaved it all out the window and into the back of the car then off to the dump/recycling centre with it. Back home and find out that progress was slowing due to the lack of a plumber for the sink, washing machine, etc. so we had our tea then Phil. Ali, Euan & Eve popped in to see how things were going. Finally the plumber arrived and we now have once again a fully functioning kitchen sink. I promptly christened it by washing the tea dishes!
MaggieD and I then cleaned out the cupboards and drawers but I fear we may need to do the same again tomorrow. The kick plates and pelmets will go in tomorrow which will entail more sawing, dust, etc.
I think we may soon be shopping for a new Hoover as the current one must be worn out!
