"Ignore him, he's just showing off"

Cal and I went out for an adventure. Because we weren't going on a train we had to get a Waitrose picnic so we went to Ramsgate to stock up on food. A family shop would have been cheaper but at least we covered all angles of pastry-based comestibles, kabanos, falafels, crisps, fresh bread, fresh fruit and some sweetmeats. then down to Pegwell Bay for a picnic in the car before wandering down to the hide. Plenty to see including shelducks, Brent geese, oystercatchers, godwits and any number of all shades of gulls. We watched the tide come in and then I suggested that we go and look for a marsh harrier. Stodmarsh didn't disappoint. 

And then home and I even caught a fleeting glimpse of a lesser-spotted younger daughter when I dropped Cal so all up a rather nice day.
