Warning

This is how I found my car when I got in it this morning - all the contents of the glove box over the passenger seat.  Then when I started the car, I found that the back door and tailgate were not shut.

The only logical explanation for this is that I did not lock the car and some opportunist thief happened to be going down our quiet street trying car doors, found mind open and decided to have a look inside.

Apparently some Audis have a spare key stored in the glove box and a lot of thieves know this.  Mine doesn't have that, nor did it have anything else of any value at all left in it.  So be warned.

We have been warned - we will now put up the security posts every night, double check that we have locked the car, and make sure we do not leave anything valuable in it.  The car alarm and locking system is going in for  a check up on Monday and we have just ordered what we need to install a CCTV at the front and the back of the house...
