Whattcha Doin'?

For three mornings in a row, the loud and raucous screeching of a flock of Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos shattered the silence of the day. To some, cockies are a pest ~ to me, they are pure joy, and an opportunity to watch these amazing characters at play.

I'm hoping this photo slightly portrays the personality of our beautiful cockatoos. They are extremely animated birds, in the way they eat, screech, fly, and most of all, when interacting with their mate.

These cockies were sitting atop one of the tallest trees in my garden, so I took the shot on full zoom, and it is drastically cropped....but seriously, a picture paints a thousand words, right?
