Climbing

One of the first things I noticed when I walked in the woods in Hampshire were the great stems of ivy twisting and turning their way up the trunks of the trees.  They reminded me of pictures I have seen of great tree trunks in rainforests covered in climbing plants which reach high into the canopy in their search for light.
