Keep On Running

Today wasn't really a day for running, well not for me anyway.

That's not to say I didn't get any exercise.

I cut the back garden, the grass that is, with a lawnmower of course.

The sweat was literally running off of me, so a cool shower and complete change of clothes and I was ready and raring to go out and watch the Gala Day Parade and associated festivities.

When I say festivities I mean a selection of tombola stalls, a beer tent (the most popular event of all), gala day stalwarts Radio Lollipop AND the shows.

Well we watched the parade, partially shaded by a tree and once it had passed we made our way to the local park, to partake of the fun that was to be had.

The park used to be a huge area where you were free to run around and have fun.

Technically it's still the same size but thanks to the wisdom of the local provost it's been subdivided into areas which have been fenced off, for football, for basketball, oh and for more football!

Well, My Girl & Mrs blip were bored after 15 minutes in the park, so by a unanimous vote 2-1 :( it was decided we were going home.

A consolation of which was that I could watch the Swedish Speedway Grand Prix, from Sweden on Sky Sports 4

Afterwards we watched some of the Eurovision Song contest?

Poor old Englebert, not quite last but near as damn it.

Who'll represent us next year?
