Do Trees Dream Of Electric Sheep?

Whenever I see a ficus tree I come over all philosophical. Here for example. It must be something to do with their longetivity. What's the meaning of it all if you're a ficus tree standing still in the same place for century after century? Surely if there is meaning to life it would apply to plants as well. Conclusion, there is no meaning to it. We just are and all we can do is cling on to our relatively short existence and enjoy the view on the way to inevitable oblivion.
