Any excuse to tinker...
J's Heuer divers watch had a wee problem and needed some parts to fix it.
They arrived this morning so as soon as we'd finished dinner this evening I was in there :-)
Once that was sorted I couldn't resist the opportunity to open up one of mine also - just for a look and a poke around :-)
I'm so angry about Top Gear being cancelled and Jeremy Clarkson being suspended.
It all sounds really stupid and badly managed by the BBC.
Surely it could've been dealt with after the series had finished.
Come on BBC, there are only 3 shows left and most of them are already shot and in the bag!
And no I'm not just annoyed because the show this Sunday was to have Jeremy driving a 124 Spider*.
Or that as a consequence Spider values might've rocketed sky high :-)
Or that it's the favourite TV show in our house just now.
Sunday evening is the perfect time for it too - just before the boys head off to bed - they love it and it smoothes out that end of weekend feeling.
* Did I mention my Jeremy Clarkson Fiat Spider story before?
I probably did but anyway, here it is again :-)
My friend Rob and I drove my Spider down to Monaco for the F1 GP back in '95.
On the way back through France we pulled up at a fuel station to fill up and Jeremy drew up at the pump next door in a TVR.
He was being loud and going on about having to refill his TVR yet again to his team parked over the other side.
Maybe that's why he chose a Spider for the challenge this Sunday - I guess we'll probably never get to find out now :-(
