Sal's taking a two minute break here after coming a fantastic fifth in the cross country competition and second in the South of the River swimming gala. As someone who well and truly sucks at both running and swimming, I'm in awe.

It's been a good day, with Grace in top form, loving her dance and drama, Tom's Year 7 concert which surpassed all expectations, a walk in the sunshine at lunchtime and a rare night out with Jamie.

We had roast artichoke hearts with bagna cauda, which I'd never heard of before but turns out to be a hot dip made with anchovies, garlic and cream. Oh it was lovely. I need to learn to make it, although I suspect it contains slightly more than the measly 121 calories I burnt during my lunchtime walk.
